We could have some lovely Sheet metal work around the CBD. Beautiful cut out large sheets of metal along walls etc. Have seen similar to this in Melbourne and there is a cool Cookie Bite one in Queenstown which has little cookies cut out in it. You could all sorts of creations cut out and the options would be endless. Would make things look much better than the bland walls around the place. Also, you could have some cool sculptures around the place too. A bit like the cool new INVERCARGILL boards that have been put up on the old Pumpkin Patch building. Imagine one somewhere in lovely Sheet metal which has been lasercut. All sorts of styles can be achieved.

Further to what I have written above. Christchurch has just opened “The Crossing” shopping complex this last weekend. They have some beautiful metal work in there plus on the outside of some of the newer buildings. It would certainly lift things in the CBD on the appearance front. Just need to get some of the architects onto it. They seem to design fairly plain buildings with not a lot of character.
