This post is in connection with my other posts about Inner City Living and City/ Peoples Assets
Also I am sure there be a lot of other peoples ideas that can be combined in a strategy.
I think we need to look at the most attractive points and spots of interest we have as a City, then we connect those points, create more relevant stops to them and print a map for tourist and for other adventurers.
The set-up should become a picture again, as in my other post about Inner City Living.
Example of Route:
-Start at Tuatara Backpackers with a breakfast
-Hire a push bike or walk
-You set on the tracks through Don St, Esk St, Tay St, with all sorts of ne curious shops (which are cheap to rent now, as the City/ and its people have their share in them)
-Next stop Otepuni gardens where you can use barbecues and picknick tables, there might be some jumble sales with stalls or a market, music- who knows, maybe just some kids that want to have a bare-knuckle fight.
-The route takes you over to the warf, where you have a restaurant/ cafe and you can also hire kayaks and other boats, bikes and scooters.
– Follow the track along the river, past the airport, along the river bank past Thompsons Bush, through Gladstons Character home set streets and through the shopping streets of Windsor.
-One has worked up a thirst by now, so why not stop at the Northern Pub.
-Queens Park with its beautiful walks, gardens and museum
-Pass the Water Tower ( you can sign a form that claims no one responsible if you were to die in an earthquake while on the tower) so you can soak up the views.
-Pass the Invercargill Brewery and of course plenty of other shops, galleries and other interesting ideas, specifically set on the route to keep followers entertained at all times
-Integrate Dee St, Leet St, Spey and Yarrow more with points of interest.
-Back to the information Center at Tuatara
